LAU, Esther Yuet Ying

Dr. Lau works as an Associate Professor at the Psychology Department of The Education University of Hong Kong. She is an honorary Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Hong Kong. Esther completed her doctoral training at Dalhousie University, Vancouver Coastal Health, and the University of British Columbia, Canada, specializing in clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology. Esther is a Registered Clinical Psychologist of the Hong Kong Psychological Society, a Clinical Psychologist in Accredited Register of the Department of Health of HKSAR, and a registered psychologist of British Columbia, Canada. Her clinical and research interests include the interaction between sleep and daytime functioning, neuropsychology of medical and psychiatric disorders, and spirituality and mental health. Currently, her primary line of research aims to uncover some of the complex relationships between sleep, emotional and cognitive functioning, spirituality, mental health and ultimately human flourishing. 

HUI, C. Harry

Dr Hui received his doctoral education in social and organizational psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Having spent over three decades teaching social and organizational psychology, and consulting in the business and non-profit sectors, he is now much interested in the application of psychology in church settings.

Dr. Sun works at Tung Wah College as senior lecturer in psychology. Her main research interest is meta-analysis, structural equation modeling, latent variable models.

CHEUNG, Sing-Hang

Dr. Cheung has joined the Department of Psychology, the University of Hong Kong since 2007. He was originally trained in cognitive psychology and neuroscience. He later extended his research interests into measurement of psychological constructs. His research areas span from visual crowding, meta-perception, cognitive basis of psychopathologies, positive psychology to psychometrics.

Dr. Cheung works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Macau. His research main areas are quantitative methods, such as structural equation modeling and meta-analysis.

LEUNG, Nga Man Angel

Dr. Leung is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology of the Education University of Hong Kong. She is a member of the Centre for Psychosocial Health (CPH). Specializing in child and adolescent's psychosocial well-being and development, she focuses her research on cyberbullying, parenting, and suicidal behaviors.

Dr. Tracy Lo is a licensed psychologist in the United States, specializing in clinical psychology & neuropsychology. She is a Clinical Psychologist in the Accredited Register of the Department of Health of HKSAR, as well as a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Hong Kong Psychological Society (HKPS). Dr. Lo is in private practice, offering psychotherapy, supervision, training and consultation services. Additionally, Dr. Lo serves as a visiting professor at the China Graduate School of Theology, where she teaches counselling studies and provides consultation and training to churches and other non-governmental organizations. Her areas of clinical interest and research include trauma/PTSD and resilience, the integration of psychology and spirituality, as well as the promotion of mental health-friendly environments within churches.  

TSO, Van Yip Ricky

Dr. Tso is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education, The University of Hong Kong. Trained as a professional educational psychologist, Dr Ricky Tso’s research aims at revealing the neuro-cognitive mechanisms of learning and applying his research findings into practice

WONG, Mark Lawrence

Dr. Wong is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social and Behavioural Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. He is a registered clinical psychologist in Hong Kong, Australia and the United Kingdom with PhD training completed in the University of Hong Kong. His research and clinical interests are mostly concerned with the effects and mechanisms of sleep and circadian rhythm on daytime functions. His work focuses on young people and the issues affecting their wellbeing, including adjustment with life changes, identity and diversity, body image and self-evaluation, and neurocognitive development.

Sabrina is a Clinical Associate in Psychology at NHS England. She holds an MSc degree with distinction in Cognitive Neuroscience from the University College London. She has previously worked as a research assistant under the supervision of Dr Esther Lau, conducting sleep and mental health research among school-aged children and emerging adults.

CHOI, Ho Fung Hugo

Hugo is a graduate in the MSc Occupational Psychology in the University of Nottingham. He has previously worked closely with Dr. Esther Lau and Dr. Sing-hang Cheung as their supervisee and research assistant during his MPhil degree in the University of Hong Kong. His main research interest revolves around the gamification of psychometric tools and the eSports industry.

She recently graduated from University College London with an MSc degree in Cognitive Neuroscience. Hinako holds a BSocSc degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Hong Kong. Her strong interest lies in the intricate relationship between sleep and mental health, and she aspires to explore the topic of napping during her PhD studies.

Wang Wei is a PhD candidate supervised by Dr. Esther Lau at The Education University of Hong Kong. Her research interests lie in the fields of sleep health, emotion regulation and cognition. In her doctoral work, she studies interventions to extend sleep duration of habitual short sleepers among emerging adults.
